One of the most common features that users look for on Facebook these days, is dark mode. The dark mode is not only good for the device as it reduces battery consumption and your exposure to blue light which affects your ability to sleep.
Turning on dark mode changes Facebook’s background to a darker color — usually black instead of white — to reduce the amount of bright white light on your screen. While the dark mode isn’t actually better for your eyes, it can help your device save battery and it can feel gentler to look at, especially before bed.
Facebook has a dark mode for iPhones or iPads running iOS 13 or higher and Androids running Android 10 or higher. When activated, it changes the backdrop of the Facebook app to black and all the text to white.
You can also change Facebook’s theme on your desktop by clicking “More…” in the navigation bar and selecting “Display.” This will bring up Facebook’s display settings, allowing you to quickly choose the theme you’d prefer.
